  • Counterfactual — Expressing what has not happened but could, would, or might under differing conditions.
  • Elevating Counterfactuals — Refers to the process of raising the importance or prominence of counterfactual thinking in analyzing and understanding events, decisions, or outcomes. Counterfactuals are "what if" scenarios that consider alternative realities or hypothetical situations that could have occurred if different choices had been made or if different circumstances had been present.
